GAS 2019 #1 on June 1
Global Agenda Seminar series (GAS)2019 kicked off on Saturday, June 1 at the Roppongi Academy Hills with 29 people, who applied and passed. This year’s overall theme until September is “Working across Differences” and we planned to address the issue of diversity etc.
The first session is always a bit nerve wrecking. I welcomed the participants and shared my view of the world today, what’s needed and why we selected this topic.
As I ran trial session at the end of April, and there were some members who had attended that session among the participants. I focused on what has happened since the end of April and how my view has evolved.
Then we asked groups of 5 or 6 to share what they wrote on their entry sheets, because we thought it would be the best way to find out the reasons members decided to apply for this seminar and what they wanted to get out of the experience. It turned out to be a very good discussion.
Following the Q & A session, we explained what we intend to cover during the next 4 sessions. Here are my blog entry of the session and the report (in Japanese) prepared by the staff of Academy Hills.
