. Participants get high quality input from guest speakers and Dr. Ishikura, and then put what they have learned into action to have a deeper understanding.
This year’s program featured two guest speakers.
One is Dr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, who is a Special Advisor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s Cabinet. His responsibilities include external affairs and writing foreign-policy speeches for Prime Minister Abe.
Another guest was Mr. Yasu Oda, who founded Vital Japan – Bilingual Professionals Network in Tokyo, which organizes monthly workshops on business and public policy issues in English.
This program provided the opportunity for individual participants to think from a global perspective, hold discussions in English, and make presentations and proposals in English. They practice these over and over again during the session and it is through this process that participants begin to acquire the skills necessary for global leadership.
